Temperley A/W2012-13

When looking through the other day on whats been happening during London Fashion week I fell in love with Temperley's collection. This collection defiantly has been influenced by Slavic culture, particularly Russian. I love the big fur hats I think it makes the whole collection look very elegant. There long gowns which were printed and beaded, which made the look very romantic. There were also some long military coats,which had leather decorations on.

Elle McPherson Golden Globe Awards 2012

Just a quick post to say that I thought Elle McPherson looked absolutely gorgeous at the Golden Global awards which were held in California on January 15th. I loved the mermaid skirt and I thought she looked really elegant in it. I love the top part of the bodice with the structured parts coming out at the back. I love the satin fabric against the netting at the bottom. I also love the colour, its beautiful. If anyone could tell me the designer of this dress I would really appreciate it, as I couldn't find it, thanks.

The Silk Printed Scarf Look

I cam across these when looking through the Topshop website and fell in love with them. I think there gorgeous and will look fabulous on in the summer ! I feel that the inspiration for these shorts have come from the D & G collection which was shown in september during Milans fashion week. Shown below

I love the use of the silk prints used in this collection. I absolutely LOVE IT ! It was one of my favourite collections I saw during fashion week. They remind me of silk printed scarfs. I think that all the bright colours are brilliant and I love the shirts.

I think the tops of the shoes in all of the photos are lovely and really gives the collection a different look.

Spring/Summer 2012 Lace Skirt

Today I got my Elle feb 2012 magazine in the the post today. Inside was a overshoot for Dakota Fanning. This caught my eye today as in the photoshoot she is wearing two lace skirts which look absolutely gorgeous. The one above is from the Miu Miu s/s 2012 collection. I love the two tonal lace to create the skirt. I think it looks really pretty and elegant. I think it also looks nice with the silk top and silk shrug which are both from Miu Miu to.

I couldn't scan the whole image of this one, but it is a lace skirt, top and jacket all from Dolce and Gabbana. I love the nude colour of this outfit, and how the outfit is all in the same colour. I think thats it makes Dakota look so sophisticated and glamorous.

I found this white lace skirt on weheartit.com. I like how its has been put with a blue shirt. It makes it really summary. It also gives it a completely different look. Personally I feel with the blue shirt it gives it a more casual everyday look. Rather than a glamorous going out look like the ones above.

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012

Happy New Years Eve everyone !!

Well todays the last day of 2011 and I am going to miss it. Ive had a wonderful year this year. My highlight of this has to be going to Paris with all my uni friends and going to London Fashion Weekend in September with my good friend Kirsti. I have also started my second year at uni which I am really enjoying at the moment :)

For New Years I'm up at Newcastle at the moment visiting my lovely cousins:) Went to the metro yesterday and bought a lovely shirt from Lipsy london which I can't wait to wear. I think for New years eve we are all going to get merry and go down the ranch :) !

News Years resolutions !

New years resolutions are a tricky one for me because if I'm honest I don't always stick to them ;) Next Year I need to blog more and try and get more followers :) Also I really want to start using Lookbook this year to. Now I have photoshop to size the photo up there should be know excuse. :) I need to keep more organised with uni work and not let it get on top of me :) !

And finally I must not be afraid to try something new next year :)

Mini Mannequin

For this terms uni project we have had to look at a film to gain inspiration from. The film I have chosen is High Society, with Grace Kelly in. Last friday before we broke up I did a toile of what my kite was going to be like using a mini mannequin. I thought I would post it on my blog, because I just loved working with the little mannequin. It was a much quicker way to produce a toile. I have decided to do a big sticky out skirt like the skirts Grace kelly wore. But I have decided to make mine shorter to make it more modern. Below are photos of my mini toile. I have used about 6 layers I think to create the fullness.
